Subject: the real deal
This was definitely the best show of the 25 or so GD and Dead-descended shows I've seen. The energy was high from both the stage and the floor from the get go. Great set lists, esp the second, with multiple peaks. The low point was the first half of Cassidy, I thought, where the boys lost focus for just a bit, but still finished the song strong. Thanks for posting.
Personal reflections on this and the next night's Madison show right here.

One of the best concert experiences of my life. This band brings it over and over and over again. The sound was surprisingly good inside the Allstate Arena. Many thanks to tapers everywhere! Also, this from Jambands.com:

"Lesh will lead a similar incarnation of the band featuring Haynes, Greene, Russo and Jeff Chimenti at Haynes’ Xmas Jam in December. Furthur fans shouldn’t fret quite yet: the band is expected to announce some 2012 dates in the coming weeks."

Subject: Spring Tour Announced?
@ Kykind, can you please tell us where you discovered that a spring tour has been announced? I don't see it on the Furthur.net website. If it your pleasure, you can please email me? (my email address is my name as it appears on this post with no space between my first and last name, at gmail.com). Thanks Man.

As for this recording, it is remarkably clear given the horrific acoustics of the Rosemont horizon, but it is still muddy. This is, of course, no fault of Jeff Frank, who was kind enough to go through the trouble of recording and uploading it...so THANK YOU JEFF!

Knowing ABOUT THE GNARLEY ACOUSTICS of this venue in advance from having seen Grateful Dead there nine time and jerry band once, I advise to everybody to make sure you get a CD of the show so you know how it really sounded.

I cannot yet rate this show because I haven't listened all of it yet. Blessed be everybody!

Subject: EPIC
I was at the show, and let me tell you it was AWESOME! This is the show I have been chasing all these years. The second set reminds me so much of Warlocks "89. other highlights include but are not limited to: Deep Elm, Cassidy, sugar mag, Sunshine Daydream. The way the band was playing blew me away. I do not expect to see something like this again, but spring tour has been announced so "I might as well try!"

Subject: Amazing Show
This show was so amazing, the band played so well. I was at this show, and it was my first Furthur show, so I probably think it was better than it may have been, but the Playin>Dear Mr. Fantasy>Dark Star was mind blowing, My Brother came to the show and he is by no means a dead head, but after that show he was blown away.
Thanks so much for putting this show up for everyone to enjoy, this recording sounds great

Subject: fuckin awesome show
Well this show was special because not only was I there, but they fuckin rocked it. At one point me and my buddies were up on the balcony over to the right of the stage and saw phil backstage in a curtained sound booth. Well we got down real close and tried to say hi to him but he was in the phil zone and couldn't hear us.
